About William R. Reaugh

A RESOLUTION OF THE AITP ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WHEREAS, Mr. William "Bill" R. Reaugh, CDP devoted a lifetime of service to the information technology profession; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh served with distinction as the national President of the Association of Information Technology Professionals in 1995, in addition to providing extensive service as a member of the Association Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh served as the President of the Foundation for Information Technology Education during 2003 and 2004, in addition to providing extensive service as a member of the Board of Regents; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh made numerous contributions to the development of the national model curriculum for the Data Processing Management Association, which later became the AITP model curriculum, said curriculum having impacted tens of thousands of information technology students and professionals around the world; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh had a long and illustrious history of holding multiple leadership positions with DPMA / AITP at all levels of the organization; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh always embodied and epitomized the highest standards of professionalism; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh earned a reputation among all who knew him, both professionally and personally, as an individual who upheld the highest ethical standards; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh represented the interests of the Association of Information Technology Professionals on the Board of the Institute for the Certification of Computing Professionals in order to further career opportunities and professional certification for those involved in the IT profession around the world; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh provided invaluable leadership and service in furthering the interests of the IS Educators Conference (ISECON), thereby providing important professional development opportunities for thousands of information systems educators; and
WHEREAS, Bill Reaugh had a highly distinguished career as an information systems leader with Caterpillar, Inc.; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Board of Directors of the Association of Information Technology Professionals gratefully acknowledges the lifetime of service and leadership of Bill Reaugh; and be it further
RESOLVED, the Board of Directors of AITP will lay this resolution upon the official minutes of the Association for all time so that future leaders of the Association will be aware of the outstanding contributions that Bill Reaugh made to his fellow professionals; and be it finally
RESOLVED, the Board of Directors of AITP expresses its heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends, and colleagues of Bill Reaugh upon his passing; this Resolution is hereby
APPROVED, on this, the 17th day of May in the Year 2006, by unanimous action of the Board of Directors of AITP.


Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria::

  • A declared computer science/CIS/MIS/IT major with an overall and major GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • A student who has satisfactorily completed at least one full semester of college (12 semester hours or equivalent)
  • Enrolled as a full-time (12 semester hours or equivalent) undergraduate student at an accredited institution in the United States
  • A US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
